Last weekend, we took A*ugust to the pool. Our club has a location downtown Saint Paul in the turn of the century Universit*y Club building. It's such an unusual club, with marble staircase and chandeliers in the workout room! The pool is on the 8th floor and so beautiful- it is all tiled, with beautiful mosaics all around. It is a saltwater pool, so there is no chlorine gas, which is very nice. The end wall has a group of little octagonal windows, and when you swim laps, you swim into the sun on your way back. For a few moments, you can forget you are in Minnesota in winter.

The water was a little chilly, but Au*gust took it in stride.
A*ugust started kicking as soon as I tipped her to her back.
All in all, she seemed to really enjoy her first trip to the pool. This weekend we'll look for a little warmer pool to try.

Great swimming pics! Its so interesting how babies get into water and just start kicking. Course, I guess she spent 9 months doing that already :)
